Historic Holiday Houses-Christmas in Coloma

Celebrate an old fashioned Christmas in Coloma with the Historic Holiday Houses, on Saturday and Sunday, November 29th & 30th  from 10-4 at the Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park.
Thirteen of the park’s buildings will be open for a Historic Holiday House Tour.
Docents at each house will tell the history of the building and the houses
will be beautifully decorated for an “old fashioned Christmas” to get you in the holiday mood.   You’ll also enjoy wreath making, refreshments, cookie decorating, wagon rides, music, a snow pile (weather permitting), a cozy bonfire to warm you and of course SANTA!  The Gold Rush Mercantile Shop next to the museum will be open to take you back to 1849, as it offers many unusual souvenirs and gifts.
The Gold Trail Grange Hall (in the middle of the park) will offer the wares of 16 quality vendors in a Holiday Market.  Here you’ll find a variety of unique locally made arts and crafts, one-of-a-kind gifts, baked goods, a hot lunch bistro, caramel apples, popcorn, cider, cocoa, and blended drinks.  Food will also be available in the park at the Argonaut Café.
With something fun for everyone, you can bring your whole family.  Your holiday guests are sure to enjoy visiting the crown jewel of California State Parks on the banks of the beautiful South Fork of the American River in Coloma.
Parking is $8 per car and a wristband to tour the houses will be $7 per person (5 and under children are free.) Groups of 4 are $25 and $3.50 for each additional person (beyond 4). A great way to spend the weekend after Thanksgiving with your holiday guests!
