Mamajowali Concert at the Grange March 7th

MAMAJOWALI featuring Joe Craven, Mamadou Sidibe, Walter Strauss will perform at the Gold Trail Grange,  319 Hwy 49, Coloma on March 7th.  The doors will open at 6:30 with the music starting at 7:30.

This concert is a benefit for the RiverTunes Music Camp scholarship fund and the Gold Trail Grange.

About the band: Seamlessly interweaving two continents and three bright musical sensibilities, Mamajowali is three veteran musicians (Joe Craven, Mamadou Sidibe, Walter Strauss) that have found common ground in a new, unique sound. Their blend of kamale ngoni (the hunter’s harp of Mali) with six string guitar, percussion, fiddle, mandolin and singing is traditional, innovative and uncommon – all at the same time. Mamajowali overlays West African music, old time Americana, and spirited originals. Hoppin’ high energy grooves and tons of improvisational trialogue. Come listen/dance to the sound you’ve never heard ~ “Afromericana!”

Admission price is $20
