Camp Lotus has great camping as well as cozy lodging and a spacious Event Hall, and is located on half a mile of river frontage, on the South Fork American River. We strive to provide guests with the unique experience of being immersed in the outdoors while still having some simple comforts like hot showers, fresh baked muffins, espresso drinks, and sandwiches made to order. Many people come here to enjoy boating access, and just as many come for the opportunity to enjoy some calm time sitting by the river. If you are patient enough you might see river otter, beaver, deer, as well as a myriad of birds.
As well as being perfect access to the river for kayaking, rafting, and swimming, Camp Lotus is a preferred place to relax and get away from the noise and constraints of the city. Many of our repeat customers cannot wait to get back to Camp Lotus for their yearly “retreat” away from busy lives. Within five minutes’ drive there are hundreds of miles of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails. Enjoy a day of exercise and return to Camp Lotus for a campfire and dinner with your friends!
For over 35 years, Camp Lotus has been hosting people for many reasons. We can happily accommodate weddings, retreats, conferences, and family reunions. We have over thirty camping sites that fit small families up to large groups, six different cabins, a riverside tipi, ten RV hook-ups, a finely kept open space that works for large groups or events, and an Event Hall.
