    2nd Annual Opening Day on the River-Sat. Apr. 5th!

    Opening Day on the River is a celebration of the start of the Whitewater season on the South Fork American River. Starting with kayak clinics from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm and concluding with a BBQ, Films, Raffle and Music from 4:00 – 10:00 pm, Opening Day is for all river enthusiasts. Water activities are at various locations on the South Fork; land festivities take place at the California Canoe & Kayak Outpost, 7221 Hwy 49, Lotus, CA 95651.

Mother Lode River Center is hosting a National Get Outdoors Day Celebration, the LoCol Farmer’s Market is open, and it is the 10th Annual American River TrailFest! Be there, or be the only one who isn’t!

    Well, the Coloma-Lotus Valley is officially OPEN FOR BUSINESS for the 2013 Summer Season! All the seasonal businesses are open to serve your dining, lodging or recreational needs, the river is flowing and that Summertime feeling is here! So, come catch the buzz!

    Memorial Day weekend is our official kick-off to the Summer Season. From a bird’s eye view, you would probably see a plethora of tents, cabins, RV’s, rafts, kayaks, barbeques and families recreating, but from the view of the South Fork American River, you will just see a bunch of people having good ol’ fashioned family fun in the great outdoors!
